A personalized jigsaw puzzle is a wonderful way for your family and friends to gather for some quality time together. Whether for an evening in front of the fire, or a long weekend, or a large jigsaw puzzle that sits out on it's own designated table for the family to gather around for an hour each night over many weeks, a Hand crafted wooden jigsaw puzzle will be something special for you all to cherish. I give very special, detailed attention to your personal pictures when I carve them, in order preserve important aspects such as faces, words and special objects. You also have the option to have me include special figure shaped pieces, in your puzzle. You receive 2 free for each 100 pieces of puzzle that you order, and additional special figure shaped pieces are available for $7.50 each. (A) Pricing & Piece Count Puzzle piece ratio is very important as my very best puzzles are cut at a ratio of 2.2 pieces per square inch of puzzle picture area. For true wooden jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts and collectors, the 2.2 pieces per square inch size puzzle is by far the most common size ordered, and the most collectible. For example an 8"x10" picture = 80 square inches. 80 x 2.2 pcs. = 175 puzzle pieces from that size photo or art print. (rounded numbers) 11"x14" = 155" sq. x 2.2pcs. = 340 puzzle pieces... 14"x17" = 238" sq. x 2.2pcs. = 520 puzzle pieces... 16"x20" = 320" sq. x 2.2pcs. = 700 puzzle pieces... etc. (B) Pricing & Piece Count In October 2004, I started adding a 2nd pricing structure to my Traditional Cut Style jigsaw puzzle pieces, to cater to the somewhat common request that I receive from my customers. They requests I receive are for slightly larger puzzle pieces than 2.2 pieces per square inch, for a variety of reasons. 1) Some people want seniors to be able to see and handle the pieces better. 2) Some customers are looking for a nice hand crafted jigsaw puzzle but want to try to reduce the cost a little. 3) Some others are simply looking for something that is not quite as challenging as a full blown 2.2 piece per square inch puzzle cut. That is why I have introduced the 1.5 piece per square inch size puzzle piece and Pricing chart below. You can see this new information on it in the 2nd pair of columns below. These larger pieces do take slightly longer to cut, thus I do charge 25¢ more per puzzle piece, than the 2.2 Pieces Per Square Inch size, however the reduced piece count still created a cost savings of about 20%. For example an 8"x10" picture = 80 square inches. 80 x 1.5 pcs. = 120 puzzle pieces from that size photo or art print. (rounded numbers) 11"x14" = 155" sq. x 1.5pcs. = 230 puzzle pieces... 14"x17" = 238" sq. x 1.5pcs. = 360 puzzle pieces... 16"x20" = 320" sq. x 1.5pcs. = 480 puzzle pieces... etc. . * The above prices are based on large jigsaw puzzles made using enlarged pictures or fine art prints, that you send to me, in their "actual" size for your custom puzzle order. Photographic images "SHOULD" be printed on KODAK, FUJI or ILFORD photographic paper. be sure to check that the KODAK, FUJI or ILFORD marking is on the reverse side of your print. You "can" send us images printed on other lesser quality papers, however we will not stand behind the puzzle if the paper and image peel in a premature way from standard puzzle handling. My puzzles are wonderful works of art in themselves, and not exactly inexpensive. It is worth investing just a few more dollars, and a little extra effort in ensuring that you are sending me an image printed on quality photo paper.

*** Additional Fees that "may, or may not", apply to your jigsaw puzzle order, include be the following services. 1) Printing fee for printing DIGITAL IMAGES sent to me via e-mail, FTP, or mailed in on a CD, that need to be printed. The price is $10 per square foot of image area. For clients who wish to print their own image, they are welcome to do so, and then ship me their large photographic paper print. In cases where the customer provides me with the image already printed in the appropriate size for the puzzle, there will obviously be no printing charge. 2) Connecticut residents pay 6% CT state Sales tax - All other US states are Tax Free - International orders are not taxed by the USA, however you are responsible for any and all import tariffs placed on your puzzle order from your own country's customs inspection officials. Contact your country's customs officials if this potential import tax is a concern to you. 3) Shipping charges are paid by the customer, and are added to the order total. We Ship UPS and FedEx within in the USA, and US Postal Service Express mail Internationally. In cases where customers provide us with their FedEx (Not UPS or DHL) account number, we are happy to ship them their order on their own account. As a result we will not charge any shipping or handling charges on that order. 4) Magnetic Jigsaw Puzzles Some customers want to have their custom made wooden puzzles Magnetized. This is an OPTION available by request only. Depending on the size of the individual pieces in your puzzle, from 1-5 special rare earth magnets will be needed to properly magnetize your puzzle.
